Why counsellor-led workplace wellbeing?
The modern workplace asks people to manage increasing pressure, rapid change, competing demands and complex relationships—often before concerns become visible or reach the point of crisis.
Counsellor-led workplace wellbeing brings a practical, human-centred perspective to these challenges. Drawing on an understanding of behaviour, communication, emotional regulation and change, counsellors can help employees and leaders recognise early signs of strain, build useful skills and approach mental health conversations with greater confidence.
Veracity Training & Counselling delivers tailored presentations, workshops, facilitation and coaching for workplaces, professional associations, conferences and leadership teams. Sessions are designed to strengthen mental health awareness, foster psychological resilience and contribute to healthier, more supportive workplace cultures.

The Australian workplace well-being picture
Australian employees can report strong overall life satisfaction while still experiencing substantial strain in their working lives. The workplace wellbeing challenge is therefore not limited to visible mental health crises—it also includes the everyday pressures that influence engagement, communication, decision-making and performance.

21%
of Australian employees are engaged at work.

50%
of Australian employees experienced stress for much of the previous day—compared with 40% globally.

55%
of Australian employees are thriving in their overall lives, highlighting the difference between how people evaluate their lives and what they may experience from day to day.

9%
of serious workers’ compensation claims relate to work-related mental health conditions, with approximately 7,984 Australians compensated each year. Psychological injuries generally involve longer recovery periods, higher costs and more time away from work than physical injuries.

These services can form one part of a broader workplace wellbeing strategy, complementing but not replacing effective organisational practices, psychosocial risk controls and workplace health and safety responsibilities.
